Mitchell E. Miller, AIA, NCARB (Principal of the Corporation) Licensed as an architect since 1987, and with over 30 years experience, Mitch has been designing custom single-family homes primarily in Southeast Florida and the Bahamas. His primary role in the company is Client Contact, Design, and Marketing. Mitch enjoys playing Pickleball, riding his skateboard and each year creates a one of a kind Christmas ornament.
Richard S. Clarke, AIA (Project Architect) Richard is a licensed Architect, graduated from the University of Florida with a Master’s Degree. Richard has over 30 years of experience specializing in high end residential construction since 1990. His role in the company is Project Development, Construction Documents, Specifications and Contractor Contact. Richard enjoys hiking, bicycling, softball, fantasy football and traveling”.
Chris Andrus, (Project Architect) Chris graduated from the University of Florida in 2005 with a Bachelors of Design with a Minor in Urban Regional Planning. He went back for his Master’s degree, which he received in 2007 from UF. While in undergrad and grad school, Chris interned with Village Architects over the summer and winter breaks from 2004-2007. In 2010, Chris returned to work for Village Architects. Chris’s role within the office is CAD God, ID10T support, Project Development, Construction Documents, Specifications, 3D Modeling, Rendering, Photoshopping, and Contractor contact. In his free time, Chris enjoys long walks on the beach, kayaking, fighting off alligators and going to Gainesville for football and basketball games. Go Gators!
Margarita Nielsen-Palacios, AIA, LEED AP BD+C (Project Architect) Licensed as an architect in Florida since 1996, she is a graduate of Universidad Simón Bolívar, Caracas, Venezuela, and earned her LEED accreditation in 2009. With many years of experience in the custom residential and commercial projects, she joined Village Architects in early 2015 and continues to enjoy working with people that love what they do. Her role is Design Development, Construction Documents, Specifications, and Contractor and Consultant contact. In the short time she has been with the firm she has acquired many new skills and already shows considerable improvement in her rubber band shooting aim.
Sam H. Miller, (Licensed Architect) Sam graduated from The University of Florida in 2014 with a Bachelor of Design. Throughout high school and college, Sam worked at the firm when he wasn’t taking classes. His present role within the office is developing Construction Documents, 3D Modeling, Rendering, and Photoshopping. Fun facts: on Tuesdays and Sundays Sam can control the weather, he is a long-time friend of Clark Kent, and in 2000 Sam prevented the Y2K meltdown.
Carla D. Miller, (Office Manager and Bookkeeper) Carla has a mechanical engineering background and has been with the company since its inception. Her primary role is bookkeeping and corporate details. Carla enjoys yoga, Pilates, tennis, paddle boarding and exercise of any kind. She likes to eat kale and just about anything green!
Brooke Schriber, (Office Administrator) Brooke graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She has over 10 years of accounting and payroll experience and manages the daily office responsibilities. Brooke enjoys spending time with family and friends and absolutely loves animals (especially dogs)!
